In this New Testament letter to the church in Corinth, Paul reminds us of the motivating principle for our generosity -- Jesus gave up all of his eternal wealth that we might share in his riches. It is out of an experience and awareness of this endless gift that we give as well. We give because we realize that Jesus has freed us to be generous, and everything we have is his.
