Nick Mudrezow

Lead Pastor

Nick joined the pastoral team at the Haven Church in October of 2016. Prior to that, he served as a Youth Pastor for over six years and as a Security Training Specialist with United States Investigative Services for eight years. He has a degree in Russian and Eurasian Studies from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary.  Nick is currently enrolled at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree. 

Nick is a native of Fairfax, Va and has been happily married to his wife Jen for over eleven years. They currently live in Springfield, Va with their four wonderful kids. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, reading paired with a great cup of coffee, all things ice hockey, and spending time with his family.

Jake Mudrezow

Executive Director

Jake joined the Haven Church staff in May of 2022 as a pastoral intern and office manager. In August 2023, he came on board full time as our Executive Director. Prior to joining the Haven team, Jake was a police officer for the Metropolitan Police Department for over six years and he was assigned to their Special Mission Unit for four years. He is currently enrolled at Grimke Seminary in Richmond, Virginia where he is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Divinity.

Jake and his wife, Sami, have been married since 2014 and are busy with their three sweet and energetic children. Outside of spending time with his family, Jake enjoys massive amounts of coffee, playing golf, and working out.

Elders

Haven Church is governed by a plurality of elders. Elders are men who are called by God and qualified by the local church, in accordance with Scripture, to lead and care for church members, oversee finances, and set vision for the church.
