The Bible

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of all people, and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.

The Trinity

We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory but distinct in function.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood at the cross He satisfied the wrath of God, obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins, and life everlasting, and defeated the powers of darkness. He was raised bodily on the third day for our justification and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He reigns and makes intercession for the saints.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and Son. The primary ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also convicts unbelievers of their need for Christ and imparts spiritual life through regeneration (the new birth). The Spirit indwells, sanctifies, leads, comforts, reveals truth, and graciously empowers for godly living and service all who come to faith in Christ. He gives every believer spiritual gifts to equip them for ministry and for engaging in gospel mission. As Christians, we seek to live under his control every day.

Creation

We believe that God not only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper end in Christ Jesus to the glory of His name.

Man and Sin

We believe that mankind in Adam was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. In consequence of his disobedience, all humanity is born sinful and are therefore by nature and choice the children of wrath, justly condemned in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves or to contribute in any way to their acceptance by God.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as the only sufficient sacrifice, offering the atonement of sins for all mankind through his death, burial and resurrection. Salvation is God’s free gift, available to all, however, it is only experienced by those who respond to His gracious gift apart from works. Those who respond are regenerated, becoming children of God, given a new nature and placed into the universal body of Christ, making us eternally secure in Him. As a result of our new relationship with God through His Son Jesus, we are now called to a life of submission to the Holy Spirit, manifesting spiritual fruit, and walking in good works that God has prepared beforehand for us to do.

The Church

We believe that the church is God’s primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. Every person who has placed their faith in God through His Son Jesus Christ is a part of the universal body of believers known as the church. We also affirm the call of every Christian to be joined with and actively involved with a local community of the saints. The members of the local church are to live their lives in humble submission to other Spirit led believers, and to the God appointed leaders of the church. We believe that God has called the church to preach the gospel to and make disciples of all nations.

The Future

We believe at the end of the age Jesus Christ will return to the earth personally and visibly. The Bible indicates that we do not and cannot know the exact day or hour, but exhorts us to be ready. Jesus' return is the great hope of the church, a day that Christians should long for, for in His return there will be the resurrection of both unbelievers and believers. Unbelievers will rise to judgment, believers will rise to rewards in heaven; and Jesus will usher in the new heavens and earth.
